The article ‘Protective Effect of 2-Dodecyl-6- Methoxycyclohexa-2, 5-Diene-1, 4-Di-one, Isolated from Averrhoa Carambola L., Against Palmitic Acid-Induced Inflammation and Apoptosis in Min6 Cells by Inhibiting the TLR4–MyD88–NF-κB Signaling Pathway’, [Cell Physiol Biochem 2016;39:1705-1715. DOI: 10.1159/000447871] by Qiuqiao Xie, Shijun Zhang, Chunxia Chen, Juman Li, Xiaojie Wei, Xiaohui Xu, Feifei Xuan, Ning Chen, Thithaihoa Pham, Ni Qin, Junhui He, Fangxing Ye, Wansu Huang, Renbin Huang and Qingwei Wen has been retracted by the current and former Publishers and the Editor.
Following publication, concerns were raised regarding the reuse of the representative image between Figure 6c: “Cleaved-Caspase-8” and Figure 7d: “NF- κB p65”, with vertical and horizontal rotation.
When asked to comment, the corresponding authors stated that there was no reuse of the image and stated that the raw data had been lost. As the concerns have not been addressed adequately, the reliability of the findings presented in the article cannot be guaranteed and therefore the article is being retracted.
